Lacebark elm is a common ornamental tree in New Orleans. The lumber used for this slab top came from a tree that was knocked down by wind in Hurricane Ida, which I milled with a chainsaw. Featuring charred and burnished edges and a custom metal base from local metalworker Arlyn Jimenez.
