Salvaged from a bathroom renovation in New Orleans, this approximately 80 year old Cypress cabinet door still had a lot of life in it. After stripping off all the years of paint, the door was sanded thoroughly and sealed with a water based clear coat. A backing box of reclaimed cypress from the same time period was added, with a luan plywood back trimmed with reclaimed and aromatic Spanish Cedar. Original window panes have had images of the Louisiana landscape added via a time-intensive transfer process that leaves the ink on the glass itself, and a LED light mounted to the back of the box. 1 of 4
