Dresser fit for a ballerina - Edinam and white limba with hand dovetailed drawers

This dresser was made for my wife, a ballet teacher. I used a little bit of artistic license to evoke a ballet shoe form in the feet. The sides are shop sawn edinam veneer, the top and stiles are solid edinam, and the drawers are solid white limba, with shop sawn limba veneer facings, oriented 45 degrees so the grain runs diagonally. Since the inspiration for this piece was dance, I wanted a sense of movement in it, and the grain orientation did that for me, along with the interesting wavy grain pattern. The drawers are hand dovetailed, the pulls are bent laminations with layers of both edinam and limba.
